Velouy

Velouy (an anagram of Love You) is the soul-soaked beat-heavy project of Dublin native, producer and singer, Darran Brennan. It arrives with the kind of upbeat energy that feels both cathartic and transformative. At its heart, the music is reflective, born out of a transmutive period of turbulence that became fuel for change and growth.

Tracks like 'Yes Man' and 'Kill Your Darlings' act as both confession and confrontation: a look in the mirror and a refusal to settle for “good enough.” Instead, Velouy leans into a more ambitious truth, aiming for something that resonates on a deeper, almost primal level. On top of that, Brennan produces downtempo music under the moniker Lowfix. The sound draws deep inspiration from ‘90s and 2000s icons like Kruder & Dorfmeister, Air and Zero 7, infused with modern influences such as Khruangbin.
