Niamh Lowe is a Dublin based singer/ songwriter/ visual artist.
Niamh graduated from The National College of Art and Design, Dublin, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
Previously making music under the pseudonym of 'The Danger is' Lowe released two E.P.'s; a collaborative EP with Irish guitarist CCBrez; and is a featured vocalist on Dublin/Wicklow electronic project BeDeluxe's EP. A Limited edition Double A Side of 'Nothing Stranger' 7" Vinyl was released with band 'We Cut Corners' on the Delphi Label.
Niamh has performed across Irish Music Festivals, on National Irish Television & Radio Programmes, Including RTÉ's 'Other Voices' series, also was live support act for artists such as Ellie Goulding, Warpaint, Mary Black and many more.
The Belfast music group- ‘And So I Watch You From Afar’ 2013 album ‘All Hail Bright Futures’, Niamh is a featured vocalist.
Niamh made an on screen appearance in Feature Film ‘All is By My Side’ the Jimi Hendrix biopic starring Andre 3000. The scene is a 1960’s folk club. Her original song 'Headlights' is performed live in a fitting folk style production and published in the film soundtrack.
Performances include the ‘The Art of Song’, music of Carole King alongside Suzanne Savage in the National Concert Hall, Ireland. Featured Artists were: Cathy Davey, Mary Coughlan, Jennifer Evans, Lost Brothers and Bronagh Gallagher.
Niamh Lowe has sung session backing vocals for Paul Brady and also session singing in event bands, opened for Cher, in Belfast SSE Arena.
Currently Niamh sings as Soprano with award winning The Park Singers under Musical Direction of Orla Gillan performing repertoire which ranges from sacred motets, oratorios and Irish works. She also is a band member of Dublin/Kildare group Echo Canto with Dave Mc Phillips (The Coronas), Dave Pyro (Republic of Loose), Elspeth Hanson (Bond), Graham Heaney (Oisin Leech), Ben Cooper (Ben Cooper Trio).
Recorded in Dublin, Ireland her debut album F O R M & F A L L was released in 2020.
Lyrics take the listener from personal questions in forming relationships to falling in and out of love. In writing these songs searching for the right type of love, a song about maternal nature was written, 'Who Will'.
This album was recorded in Camden Studios and The Loft Rehearsal Studio in Dublin and produced by Keith Farrell (produced, engineered and mixed the eponymously titled Duckworth Lewis Method album, which was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award). The album features musicians Keith Farrell on Bass Guitar, Cian Boylan on Piano; Rhodes & Hammond Organ, and Jason Duffy on Drums, with all guitars and Synths played by Niamh Lowe and Keith Farrell.
