Dublin based alt-pop duo 'mischa and the bear' are producer Mischa and vocalist Bear. Their sound is rooted in modern electronic pop, pairing glitchy, industrial-leaning textures with distorted synths and distinctive vocals. Dark, driven and mechanical, their music combines ethereal textures with high-impact energy.

Named as one of RTÉ 2FM’s Rising Acts of 2026, ‘mischa and the bear’ have earned Track of the Week twice on RTÉ 2FM, with support from BBC Across the Line and Radio X.

They debuted in 2025 with their first single Deny, praised by RTÉ 2FM as “whopper” and described by Nialler9 as “very fucking great.” Babystep Magazine highlighted the track’s “industrial textures, distorted beats and haunting intensity,” while ChordBlossom called it “intelligent and emotionally resonant.”

Their song Sing It also gained recognition on Spotify editorial playlists 'alt_ie' and 'A Breath of Fresh Éire', expanding their reach further.

The duo continue to build a following drawn to their genre-blurring sound. Their debut EP, Even Unto The Next World, was released on August 8th, 2025.

2026 will see their first live shows and the release of a second EP, bringing their dark, ethereal, and punchy sound to new audiences.
