Leevy

Leevy is the music project of Gaeltacht reared songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Amhlaoibh McSweeney.

Born from the Irish storytelling tradition and mixed with a deep fascination of the human condition, McSweeney’s songwriting weaves tender introspection and gallows humour together under musical arrangements.

The act consists of old friends from Cork’s Gaeltacht region. The band works in unison to move from quiet, often theatrical pieces of Folksy storytelling to explosive and raucous Irish Punk rock.

Having played in many of the country's best known venues (Whelans/Mike the Pies/Levis' Corner House) they are an act that must not be missed.
