Theresa McKenna is a singer-songwriter, pianist, and performer from Drogheda, Ireland, now splitting her time between Dublin and the Netherlands. With roots in classical piano and voice, Theresa has grown into a versatile artist whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with soaring vocals and rich, melodic arrangements.
Her debut single Impossible (2018) marked her first step as a recording artist, introducing listeners to her honest, emotive songwriting style. Since then, Theresa has been steadily crafting new material, weaving together influences from timeless international artists while staying deeply connected to her Irish roots. Her songs often intertwine with the Irish language, creating a sound that feels both universal and uniquely her own. She is currently working on her debut EP, set for release in Spring 2026, which promises to showcase her most personal and powerful work to date.
Alongside her songwriting, Theresa has carved out a vibrant career as a live performer. She has fronted international tours with Best of Ireland and supported celebrated Irish musicians including Emma Langford, Siomha, and Brian Kennedy.
Her immersion in musical theatre with training at the Gaiety School of Acting has been instrumental in developing her stagecraft. These experiences sharpened her ability to tell stories through song, adding theatrical depth and dynamic presence to her live shows.
Whether behind the piano or commanding a stage, Theresa’s artistry is rooted in connection: creating songs that move people, while delivering performances that linger long after the final note. With her upcoming EP, she is ready to share a new chapter of her musical voice.
