téga is an alternative musician from Drogheda, known for unorthodox production and engaging performances.
Raised in Ireland’s smallest county but biggest town, téga turned to music early as an escape from the limits of his surroundings. What began as an outlet evolved into poetry, composition, and collecting multiple instruments along the way - using sound as a canvas.
Now based in Dublin, the versatile artist has built a reputation through a series of collaborative projects. This includes playing saxophone for the YouTube live-performance series Bedroom Sessions (Season 2), as well as backing rising R&B artist Rem at her recent "Ones to Watch" showcase at Whelan’s.
More recently, audiences at Arthur’s Blues and Jazz Club witnessed téga's musical versatility firsthand, as he switched between live saxophone and bass guitar during a passionate, memorable performance. Leading his full band, téga delivered a set built entirely on tight grooves, emotive chord progressions, and magnetic crowd engagement.
téga is driven by emotion above all else blending elements of rock, hip-hop, funk, jazz and R&B naturally, his only requirement being soul. With a refined sound and his upcoming debut EP REDEYE (this July), téga is ready to showcase exactly that.
