téga is a multi-genre producer, songwriter and musician from Drogheda, known for unorthodox production and engaging performances. His delivery and arrangements have drawn comparisons to the likes of Gorillaz, Outkast and Jean Dawson - while remaining deeply inspired by the sweet saxophone of Grover Washington Jr.
Raised in Ireland’s smallest county but biggest town, téga turned to music early as an escape from the limits of his surroundings. What began as an outlet evolved into poetry, composition, and collecting multiple instruments along the way - using sound as a canvas. Over the years, his ideas have come alive on stage through regular gigs across Drogheda and Dublin, culminating most recently in the 3-man project D’Lacy at Odd Mollies - a stripped-back live set built solely around saxophone, guitar, keys and crowd engagement.
Unbound by genre, téga is driven by emotion above all else. Blending elements of rock, hip-hop, funk, jazz and R&B naturally, his only requirement is soul. With a refined sound and his upcoming debut EP REDEYE (this July), téga is ready to showcase exactly that.
