Mirrorglass is a project based in Cavan, Ireland spearheaded by Joshua Bowles. Formed in 2022, Mirrorglass delivers a rock n roll driven energy "a fire we haven't seen since fellow Cavan-ers 'The Strypes' on The Jools Holland Show and Late Late Toy Show almost 10 years ago." Compared to a "Young Thin Lizzy", Mirrorglass are turning heads across the country. They performed for the first time in May 2023 at Rockathon 2023 in Fairyhouse Racecourse. Mirrorglass are known for their live energy and have played various shows all across Ireland.
In January 2024, Mirrorglass won Cavan Institute's Win Big Song Contest with "Where Will You Go?" This was released in May 2024 as a single. In August, the original lineup split leading to the cancellation of their debut album. Joshua returned, alongside Paul Jackman, Jack Bogue and Vay in October 2024 for Drumlinia Music/Media Industry Day, Mirrorglass released their first new single since the album cancellation in February 2025, called "Wasted Time". On April 25th 2025, alongside "Ghost Town", Mirrorglass re-released "Where Will You Go?" with a fresh reimagined version as the B-side.
Mirrorglass released their debut album, consisting of new tracks (including Wasted Time) and new versions of old tracks, on April 25th 2025 on CD initally, with the streaming release on the 12th of September 2025. The album was entirely self produced with Joshua Bowles mixing and mastering the 9 tracks on the album.
Mirrorglass are back playing live in 2026, with their first gig of the year in Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast. The current lineup consits of Joshua Bowles on lead vocals and guitar, Andrej Spacek on bass guitar, Sean McKiernan on keyboards and Paul Jackman on drums who will be performing for the final time with Mirrorglass, in Fibber Magees on the 26th of March 2026. He is to be replaced by incoming drummer, Daniel Whelan, formerly of Cavan based rock band, Stonewake.
