Mirrorglass is a project based in Cavan, Ireland speer headed by Joshua Bowles. Formed in 2022, Mirrorglass delivers a rock n roll driven energy "a fire we haven't seen since fellow Cavan-ers 'The Strypes' on The Jools Holland Show and Late Late Toy Show almost 10 years ago." Compared to a "Young Thin Lizzy", Mirrorglass are turning heads across the country. They performed for the first time in May 2023 at Rockathon 2023 in Fairyhouse Racecourse.
In January 2024, Mirrorglass won Cavan Institute's Win Big Song Contest with "Where Will You Go?" This was released in May 2024 as a single. In August, the original lineup unceremoniously split leading to cancellation of their debut album. After Joshua triumphantly returned, alongside Paul Jackman, Jack Bogue and Vay in October 2024 for Drumlinia Music/Media Industry Day, Mirrorglass released their first new single since the album cancellation in February 2025, called "Wasted Time". On April 25th 2025, alongside "Ghost Town", Mirrorglass re-released "Where Will You Go?" with a fresh reimagined version as the B-side.
Mirrorglass released their debut album, consisting of new tracks (including Wasted Time) and new versions of old tracks, on April 25th 2025 on CD only. The album is entirely self produced with Joshua Bowles mixing and mastering the 9 tracks on the album.
Through initally releasing exclusively on CD, Mirrorglass aims to highlight the value of music beyond digital convenience, asserting music is not just throwaway content, but an artistic statement that deserves to be experienced in its fullest form.
