Kevin Donohoe, aka Keeve, is a 26-year-old Irish singer-songwriter, spoken word artist, and performer from Moate, Co. Westmeath. He writes alternative rock, psych-rock, and soul-pop music. He has a background in stage performance, namely in community theatre and solo and double act comedy. ‘Coming from a musical family, stage wings and the backstage became a familiar sight in my developing years, and as a result, I grew into myself as a performer. I began to have my first experiences on stage with a live audience, and I haven’t looked back.' Kevin has been trained to sing classically and in many other styles from the age of 16 and received tuition from vocal coaches at the Irish World Academy of music and dance in the University of Limerick, where he recently completed a BA in preforming arts World music, Studying global music traditions at an in dept level, these include Javanese gamelan, South Indian classical and North Indian Hindustani music, Ewe and Djembe drumming, Balkan/Middle Eastern Maqam, juju/highlife, Ghanaian music along with Western theory. While experiencing these eclectic traditions, he has also tried applying this knowledge to the instruments he plays, including guitar, bouzouki, harmonica, keyboard, and, recently, sarod (Indian lute). He has been performing solo and with a band for the last six years whilst simultaneously writing, recording. He released a self-titled original EP in June of 2021. His alternative rock sound and earthy vocals are heavily influenced by the earlier work of bands such as Coldplay and Oasis, whilst trying to maintain the same soulful edge as artists such as Paulo Nutini and Jeff Buckley
