Julian Leavy is an Irish singer-songwriter from Louth, raised between Dublin and Carlingford, and now based in Wicklow. His music sits between folk, indie and alternative, blending warm acoustic textures with dynamic, emotionally driven performances.
Writing over the past decade, his songs reflect a gradual shift from introspection towards something more open and direct, carried by a vocal style that moves from intimate to powerful within the same breath. Drawing influence from artists like Elliott Smith and the raw edge of bands such as At The Drive-In, his sound balances stripped-back honesty with moments of intensity and release.
Julian released his debut EP "The Robin, The Fox" in October, a fully self-produced project written, recorded, mixed and mastered at home. Alongside this, he has been developing a live performance series titled Brittas Bay Sessions, capturing both new material and reworked versions of existing songs in a more immediate, performance-led setting.
A regular performer on the Dundalk circuit, Julian has played headline and support shows at venues including the Spirit Store and Toales, and is currently focused on expanding into Dublin while continuing to build a growing audience online.
