imBau

imBau are a six-piece shoegaze/noise rock band from Dundalk, Ireland. Taking inspiration from bands like Just Mustard, The Altered Hours, and Maruja. imBau seek to blend dreamy soundscapes with harsh abrasive textures to create a unique and ethereal atmosphere.

In 2025, we tragically lost our singer, bassist and friend Ranier Gaspar. We put on a memorial gig at The Spirit Store in Dundalk and our hearts were filled as the entire community came together to celebrate his amazing life. Since then we have felt impassioned to continue making music together, with Ranier’s spirit embroidering everything we do. imBau now consists of: guitarists Eóin Byrne and Cormac Mac an Ghirr, Drummer Skye Chan, Saxophonist Ferdia Quinn, Vocalist Rowan Murphy, and Bassist Jared Kelly.
