HUNTINGS

HUNTINGS is the dark, brooding manifestation of Dublin-born brothers James and Brian Edwards. Known for delivering a raw, pulsating wall of sound, the alt-rock duo has spent recent years carving out a reputation for loud, expansive guitar riffs and beats. Their musical journey originally began as Legion of Ape, where the brothers first forged their powerful creative chemistry. Under that moniker, they achieved some significant milestones, including a coveted performance on Glastonbury’s Leftfield Stage in 2008 and a high-profile UK tour supporting cult garage-rockers Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster in 2012.

In 2018, the siblings chose to break away from their original setup. Eschewing the need for a bass player entirely, they stripped their configuration down to its absolute core elements: raw guitar, visceral vocals, and thunderous drums. Out of this minimalist philosophy, HUNTINGS was born. Their signature sound relies entirely on a captivating mix of simplicity and overwhelming intensity. By expertly melding the speaker-shredding distortion of bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Therapy? and Nirvana with the intrinsic, moody tension of Joy Division, and PJ Harvey they create a dark, edgy, and beautifully chaotic atmosphere.

As a two-piece, HUNTINGS proves that less is undeniably more. Their live performances are notoriously ferocious, powerful, and packed with an untamed energy that makes them an absolute must-see act on the live circuit creating an unforgettable experience for audiences.
The band solidified their studio presence with the release of their debut album, Songs of Last Resort, in October 2024 and played a sold-out show in Dublin’s Whelan’s to celebrate the release. The record earned widespread positive reviews with critics praising its ability to deliver a raw, overwhelming atmosphere. Now, the brothers are actively writing new material for their highly anticipated follow-up record and booking shows in Ireland and beyond for 2027.
