Dublin band Doris will release their debut album 'The Working Title' on Saturday July 18 with a headline gig in Andrew's Lane Theatre.

Originally formed in 2006, the band have seen many changes in their line-up. Founding members Phil Redmond(singer, guitarist)and Chris McDonnell(bassist, Whelan's doorman)have used these changes to the band's advantage.

Drafting in two new drafted in two new members in 2007, childhood friends and metal enthusiasts Paul Higgins (lead guitar, keyboards,harmonica, vocals) and Andrew Beatty (drums), the band have transformed from a simple folk-like outfit to a fully fledged Pop/Rock band.

Since then, they have had two top 30 singles, 'Will I Ever Learn?' and 'Stop' entering charts at number 22 and 32 respectively.

The band have appeared on Balcony TV, received national airplay and have played live sets in studio on Spin FM, 2FM, 98fm and Galway Bay FM and recently joined Sinead Ni Mhorda for a chat and live session on Phantom FM's Front Row.

Doris have been recently featured on State Magazine's "State Verses The Summer" CD which featured artists like Fight Like Apes, Ham Sandwich, Fred, The Heathers amongst other top Irish acts.

The band embarked on a national tour in 2008, playing in every county in the republic and regularly fill Dublin venues like Whelan's, The Village and Tripod.

With a growing fanbase and their debut album 'The Working Title' due for independent release on July 18th, 2009 looks bright for the Doris lads.
