Dopamine emerged onto the music scene in mid-2021 with their self-titled debut EP "Dopamine", selling 800 copies and developing a dedicated following in their local area. The band became well-known for their unique, energetic style of indie rock and their wild stage presence, receiving glowing reviews as they quickly grew into themselves as musicians and performers.
Over the last four years, Dopamine have focused on maturing their sound. The band plans on releasing their first fully-fledged album over the summer of 2026, and have released three singles in the meantime: "Lost in Luxembourg", "Last Night", and "2005". The singles saw great success, with over 100k Spotify streams amassed between them.
The band is a four-piece, consisting of Juan Miguel Deborde on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Seán Fleming on lead guitar and vocals, Kris Gavin on bass, and Seán Woods on drums. The members have incredible chemistry together, able to draw on their many different musical influences and bring it together in one cohesive package. The band has been praised for its unique sound due to their DIY process of recording in their own studio that they constructed and only record, mix and master themselves with no external influences.
On the back of 4 incredible consecutive appearances at Forest Fest, several sold-out Dublin City concerts in venues such as The Sound House, The Button Factory, National Concert Hall and The Sugar Club, and with an album in the works, Dopamine is surely an act to keep an eye on in the near future.
