It’s obvious that DOG BLESS can’t hide their feelings with their debut single, “Nothings Going Well”, recounting a broken relationship while combining thrash-esque guitars and crashing drums with contrasting pop harmonies. The single has turned heads in the scene, landing a spot on the Kerrang Chart and mentions across Ireland and the UK.
Written in an apartment that consumes payslips and sanity, the track follows a boy who realises his pretentious partner is poisoning him with their superiority complex.
Frontman Steve describes: “Nothings Going Well” is about reclaiming your freedom, affirming your frustration and letting out every ounce of the pain that you felt in a suffocating relationship. This is probably what you’ll find in the diary of anybody struggling through their 20s.
DOG BLESS burst onto the scene in summer 2025 with a variety of buzzing gigs including Whelan's summer watch, and have been playing many across Dublin since, with several gigs outside of the county planned for 2026.
“All their songs were quite quirky and they were chatting to the audience in between songs. It just really inspired me to pick up a guitar again” - Emma Williams, Radio Nova
“Nothings Going Well”, gives the listener a strong sense of the riff laden attitude that we can expect from the band as they take their first steps into the ears of the rock scene.
