Formed in Waterford, Ireland in late 2022, Alan Power and the Aftershocks are a four-piece band influenced by the early roots of rock & roll.
The band is led by vocalist Alan Power, backed by Michael McGill on upright bass, Jimmy “Jim Law” Shields on guitar, and Liam Ascott on drums. Their sound draws from 1950s rock & roll, blues, and early country, referencing artists such as Little Richard and The Platters and many more.
Known for their focused, high-energy live performances, the band have performed across Europe, the UK, and the United States.
