Beginning as a quartet called ¡NO!, Zeropunkt have been keepers of spontaneous fire music since 2013, gracing fabled DIY haunts of yore such as The Joinery, Block T, and Jigsaw, the illustrious precincts of The Hugh Lane Gallery or The National Concert Hall, and everything in between. They have appeared at festivals including Open Ear, Féile na Gréine, and Alternative Kilkenny Arts Festival, and curated music series such as the NCH's Metronome. Individually and/or collectively, they have collaborated live or in recording with innumerable eclectic figures, including no wavers (Glenn Branca), Krautrock and acid rock icons (Damo Suzuki, Kawabata Makoto), European free jazz doyens (Itaru Oki, Alfred Harth) and diverse Irish artists (Matthew Nolan, Rainfear, Djackulate, Paul Roe). More recently they have also appeared supporting seminal New York no wavers The Bush Tetras, and East Coast fusionists James Brandon Lewis and the Messthetics. They have an extensive long play discography stretching into double digits, and across all formats.
