Tyra-Lee Spry ☆

Pop // Cork City, Cork // She/Her

Tyra-Lee Spry is a pop-rock artist based in Ireland whose music mixes emotionally honest songwriting with upbeat, energetic production. Born in Johannesburg South Africa and raised in Waterford before moving to Cork, she writes songs drawn directly from her own experiences, often turning personal moments into relatable pop tracks.

Honesty sits at the centre of her music. In an interview with Banjaxed Media, Tyra-Lee explained, “I am so extremely honest in my lyrics; people could probably track down the location of where I had that exact feeling.” Her songs often balance vulnerability with lively, dance-driven production — what she describes as “the saddest lyric you’ve ever heard, but you can still dance to it.”

She has released original singles including “Your Mind” and “Remember Me,” while continuing to develop new material and demos such as When We Do It, Floorboards, My Own Way, and Manipulation Got You Bad. Alongside recording, Tyra-Lee has been building her reputation through energetic live performances with her band, bringing together guitar, bass, drums and keys to create a full pop-rock sound on stage.

One of the highlights of her live career so far came when she opened for Lyra at the Theatre Royal Waterford, performing to a crowd of more than 500 people. The performance marked an important step in her growth as a live artist and helped introduce her music to a wider audience.

Writing about her journey, Banjaxed Media described her as “fuelled by pure love for the people around her, Tyra-Lee isn’t another emerging artist — she’s carving out a space in the Irish music scene that feels entirely her own.”

With a growing catalogue of music, regular live shows and a clear commitment to honest storytelling, Tyra-Lee Spry continues to build her place in Ireland’s independent pop scene
