Fitz’s career melds his passion for performance, production, and visual art; all of which is grounded in a DIY ethos yielding singular results.

A constant in Fitz’s artistic approach to any project is an unwavering desire for exploration and discovery in his creative expression. A passion for guitar and songwriting came to life across the early-2000s, sharing line-ups with The Frames, Mic Christopher and Damien Rice and continued to evolve following a fortuitous house-share with electro-acoustic musicians and producers Anthony Palaskas and Andriana Touliatou, who encouraged Fitz to set up his own home studio in 2007. That formative chapter in Fitz’s artistic development instilled a fearless DIY sensibility that remains in his professional practice and songwriting.

From there, Fitz’s musical sensibility has shifted from acoustic-based singer-songwriter arrangements to darker and immensely atmospheric electronic-focused productions created using a suite of modular synths and organic instrumentation. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Alessandro Cortini, Fitz creates immersive, nocturnal compositions, intricately layered with pulsing beats and warm glows of fuzzed guitar peeking through, providing a space for his introspective cadence to exist within.
