Torn between bittersweet melodies and expansive sonic textures, they strive to make full use of the dynamics and aural opportunities afforded by the simple combination of instruments and amplification, used by so many but explored by so few.
A four-piece, based in Dublin, this is how it ends gathers influence from a vast range of genres. Each member bring their own individual taste to the band, from post-rock and shoe-gaze to folk and sludge, culminating in a fresh and unique sound.
The sonic intensity increases at the live shows and the band continue to win over new fans with their pulsating live performances. this is how it ends have shared stages with bands of local and international acclaim, including EF (SWE), And So I Watch You From Afar (NI), Sean Penn (NL) & Butterfly Explosion (IRL).
Driven by a collective love of music, performing and an ethic of hard work and dedication, this is how it ends have recently released their debut EP and are continuing to push upwards and outwards in pursuit of perfection.
