Formed in London in 2023 by Conor Bogue(Banjo) and Michael Hickey(Guitar), the band began their journey gigging in the city's trad and folk scene where they began writing and performing their own original songs.
In October 2023 the two moved home to Ireland and recruited Dylan O Shea (Drummer) and Euan Hickey.(Bass). Since then the group has released numerous singles including fan favourites ‘Maggie’ and ‘Too Fast’ and 'Bitter Sweet' , featured at Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Dublin Trad fest and headlined The Ruby Sessions. The Labourers have also opened for a wide range of artists including David Keenan Aslan, Brogeal, The Highstool Prophets and DUG.
