Jamie Nugent

Jamie Nugent is a musician, singer, songwriter, painter and poet from County Longford whose music blends folk, rock, jazz and free-improvisation.
Influenced by both traditional and experimental music, his sound moves between intimate songwriting and atmospheric free-form composition.
Jamie studied music at Ballyfermot College of Further Education (BCFE) before continuing his studies in classical music at Maynooth University. His background in both formal training and improvisation has shaped a distinctive style rooted in emotion, spontaneity, and storytelling. He has provided live improvised Jazz infused accompaniment for a production for Edward’s Albee’s The Zoo Story, as well as playing in the alternate Dublin-based rock band “Bodies”, who have appeared in the Apple TV show “Bad Sisters”.
