Charcoal Greys

Rock // Carrick-On-Suir, Tipperary

Charcoal Greys are a female fronted rock band based in County Tipperary. Before they were a band they were family - four first cousins from rural Ireland, who grew up playing music at family gatherings, before deciding to turn that shared passion into a a group that would go on to become Charcoal Greys. Their sound is very much a fusion of their individual tastes and influences - a collision of 90s grunge, 2000s pop rock and modern post punk. Having formed in 2024, the band has performed dozens of gigs over the last year, from local music festivals to showcases, and regular support slots, most recently supporting The Academic in Cyprus Avenue. Charcoal Greys also recently played their first headline in a jam-packed Source Arts Centre Thurles, debuting an hour long original set to a thrilled audience.

The band released their third single "Just Because" on February 17th. Having already had its first play for the world on BBC Introducing, the track continues the strong wave of singles which will continue throughout 2026.
