The Boiling Well

The Boiling Well are songwriters Julie Atkins and Shaun Fitzpatrick.
They share a musical connection that has inspired them to create tracks with both female and male vocals. They use a semi-acoustic guitar paired sometimes with ambient prerecorded soundscapes to help create a relaxed soothing atmosphere that matches perfectly with their vocals.
Their live shows have been described as sounding “like entering a warm bath”.
The bands name comes from a well that produced warm water was next to farmland Shaun’s family once owned, the locals named it ‘The Boiling Well’.
Their debut EP ‘Ampersand’ was released in September 2025 and is available now in full on Bandcamp.
In the studio they have added many instruments to their tracks with the help from many great musicians from the local music scene in Northern Ireland, including cello, flute, lap steel etc.
On April 30th 2026 they will release their first single ‘Adrift ft. Brian Finnegan’ on all streaming platforms.
