Teague & Joyce are a Galway-based songwriting and performing duo blending rich vocal harmonies, dancing acoustic guitars and emotionally resonant songs rooted in folk and Americana traditions. Originally from Belfast and Connemara, the pair met in the musical melting pot of Galway and have built a reputation as compelling live performers and thoughtful songwriters.
Their music draws on folk, country and blues influences, shaped by the Atlantic west coast and the stories of the ordinary and extraordinary people they encounter. Cutting their teeth in the pubs and clubs of Galway city, Teague & Joyce have steadily established themselves as vital contemporary contributors to songwriting in both Irish and English.
Their 2023 album What Will We Be appeared on the ballot for the Grammy Awards (Best Folk Album), while their Pan-Celtic Song Contest–winning song Ar Saoire continues to receive regular airplay on Irish radio. Their work has also featured on BBC and RTÉ radio, and they have supported Sharon Shannon in theatres across Ireland.
The duo are currently touring new material from their forthcoming album Lost on The Wander, due for release in 2026. Their latest single, “Looking Up,” was recently named Track of the Week on Galway Bay FM, with Gary on Plugged In describing it as “an absolute tune.”
Their live reputation continues to grow, with Donal O’Connor of First Thursday Folk Club in Boyle writing after a recent performance:
“Song after song blew us away… How these lads are not household names beats me.”
The Lost on The Wander Tour 2026 features songs from the forthcoming album alongside fan favourites, exploring songs of the heart and reflections on life in modern Ireland and the wider world.
