Spearside are an Irish band lead by brothers Oisín (vocals/guitar) and Cian Walsh (vocals/bass).
Their upcoming EP 'Hatchet Man' was produced by the band in their home studio that they built during the covid-19 lockdowns. The EP brings a new energy to the band's sound, incorporating some of their heavier influences while remaining true to the melodic pop sensibilities the band have become known for since they burst onto the Irish indie scene in 2023.
BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders describes Spearside as a band that “speak their mind so well in their music”, with their first three singles also earning them fans such as Mickey Bradley (The Undertones) and Steve Lamacq of BBC 6 Music.
Drawing on classic influences such as The Saints, Minor Threat, Ash, Teenage Fanclub, and Brendan Benson, alongside they new wave of melody driven bands coming through the hardcore scene such as Fiddlehead, Militarie Gun, Superheaven and Young Guv, Spearside seek to bolster a guitar driven sound that is forever old and forever new.
