S.P.A.M

Folk // Buncrana, Donegal // He/ Him

S.P.A.M born Sean Patrick Adaya Meaney is a self produced indie folk artist based in Donegal. Originally born in Manila, Philippines to an Irish Father and Filipino Mother, the family moved to Dublin, Ireland when he was three years old.
From an early age he began singing in the school choir before picking up the guitar at 13.
In 2017 at age 17 he began his career as a chef after moving to Galway City but found that between the long hours and hectic lifestyle of kitchens music was a saving grace from the demanding profession.
In 2019 he began busking on the famous streets of Galway City and performed at local open mics where he also developed his writing skills and performed his own original music.
After moving to Donegal in 2021 to begin studying music production he released his first single: Be Safe in 2023 inspired by the crystalline reverbatory sounds of Mac Demarco and Vacations.
His writing has been described as ballad-like taking inspiration from popular alternative contemporaries such as Alice Phoebe Lou and Papooz.
He is currently working on his first E.P. which is expected to be finished in Spring 2027.
