Sour Blood

Since launching the music of Sour Blood with a sold out live show at Dublin Dance Festival in 2019, Gleeson spent the pandemic developing the sonic language of 2021's GOOD NEVERS. Gleeson is a long time collaborator with award-winning Irish theatre company Dead Centre and has previously worked on acclaimed productions at leading international venues, including Schaubühne, Berlin & Burgtheater, Vienna.

On GOOD NEVERS, he collaborates with Brendan Jenkinson (Maria Somerville, Cloud Castle Lake, Aoife Nessa Francis) on production and mixing duties. From the hypotonic echoing guitars of SLEEP PARALYSIS, the gritty Lynchian melancholy of SILENCE, the dopamine pop hooks of IDKHTSGN to the shimmering harmonies of SILVER SPOON, Good Nevers is a four part miniseries with Gleeson’s enigmatic voice as its protagonist, accompanied by an assemblage of staccato strings, chanting keys and primordial percussion, smeared through analogue tape effects. The result carves out an otherworldly space, straddling the line between memory and dream.
