Some Images of Paradise

Alternative // Limerick City, Limerick // They/Them

Some Images of Paradise are an Irish outfit (hailing from Limerick City) flaunting an undefinable, genreless sound with the only sonic throughline being their overwhelmingly abrasive passion and an audacious commitment to unbridled expression. The band’s genre-bending sound never once feels like a cheap trick or that it exists for the sole sake of skill expression but instead gives room for the band to convey a cinematic range of emotions, all as extreme as one another.

The band have developed a cult-like fanbase, selling out shows in the likes of Limerick's Dolans and Galway's Roisin Dubh, being championed by critics (Ian Cohen and Still Listening Magazine) and artists alike (Los Campesinos, Tony Bontana, and Bricknasty: who they joined on their Irish tour November/December), and have rapidly grown their following off the release of their acclaimed debut album i expect the same of u, an album about growth and survival after spending years with no intention of seeing life through. The record traverses painful explorations of survivors guilt and queer identity with a committed transparency.
