Irish musician sølstrek is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and conductor living and working in Galway, West of Ireland.

Her music is underpinned by her deep roots in Irish traditional music, fusing instrumental and electronic elements with influences of Max Richter, Bartok, Ligeti, Stravinsky, Denis Smalley and more.

Following her classical training in London and Manchester, sølstrek moved to Berlin, where she worked as a freelance fiddle player and violinist. She moved back to Ireland in 2018 where she has forged strong links with the contemporary music community.

Her work prominently features violin and piano and combines improvisation, extended techniques, and the language of both contemporary classical and Irish traditional music.

sølstrek's music is inspired the vast landscapes of the west of Ireland.
