Slow Creatures are a folk group from Clare in the west of Ireland. Formed in 2024 by Rowan Noonan Ganley and Fiontán Cahill - known for rich, honest vocals and deeply emotive live performances. Blending folk, Americana, traditional Irish & pop. Influences include Paul Simon & Nathaniel Rateliff. Their recent single When the Levee Breaks received multiple plays on BBC Introducing, earning strong listener response and praise from critics - describing the vocals as “truly arresting”. They have played many legendary venues up and down the country and opened for acts including Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip). Their debut EP arrives in April, with a busy run of shows ahead, so far including Fire in the Mountain Festival , The Galway Folk Festival and an Irish tour in June including Whelan’s, Levis’ Corner House Ballydehob & St Cronan’s Church (the oldest church in Ireland).
