SHY

SHY is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter who defines her genre as indie-pop/acoustic-pop. A former participant on X-Factor, she debuted with her EP Loading in 2018, marking the start of herindependent music career. Since then, she has released several successful singles and feature tracks, earning recognition across Ukraine. SHY has performed at prominent local festivals and headlined solo shows, further establishing her presence in the music scene. Now based in Dublin, SHY is reigniting her music career and bringing her sound to a global stage.

SHY released her debut LP 'Awkward Tunes' in April 2023. The album featured on several Spotify playlists, including Indie (Ukraine), NMF (Hungary), and Primavera Chill (Italy). The lead single “You Don't Think of Me” gained radioplay across the UK, Ireland, Eastern Europe, and North America.

In October 2023, SHY released the single "Have A Good Kiss", a collaboration with U.S. producer August Ogren, recorded at Black Mountain Studio in Dublin, Ireland. The track quickly garnered 20,000 streams and secured placements on Spotify’s Indie, Equals, and New Music Friday playlists.
Later in the year SHY became a student at the Irish music college BIMM (majoring in vocals), which is well-known in Europe for its alumni such as Tom Odell, James Bay, The Kooks, Fontaines D.C., and others.

With support from the Music Export Cooperation Camp, SHY recorded a feature ‘Sad Winter’ song with Irish musician and producer Cian O'Donoghue in December 2023.

The following release, "On the Roof", co-produced with August Ogren and recorded at Clinic Recording Studio, came out in spring 2024. It was accompanied by a music video, directed by Dvizhon and filmed in London’s Soho and showcases SHY performing on a scenic rooftop.

In the last few years, SHY has performed at several notable showcase festivals, including New Skool Rules in the Netherlands, SESAME in Romania, and Westway in Portugal. She also played her first show in Istanbul, supporting fellow indie band GOSS, and has performed at a number of events on the Dublin stage, including venues such as Bello Bar and The SoundHouse.

SHY’s latest release is the EP “Як Літати і Не Падати” (English: “How to Fly and Not Fall”) 2025, produced in collaboration with Sound Plant Studio. It is now available on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a striking music video directedby Dvizhon and filmed in London.
