SHERÓSY

SHERÓSY is the sound of emerging alt/indie-folk Irish singer-songwriter Róisín Gowen. Róisín’s commanding voice takes difficult themes and weaves them comfortably and wholeheartedly, making her songs personal, powerful, and pure. Róisin’s debut album, set to be released early next year, captures a collection of reflections of overcoming loss, singing from a place of finally standing in life, after years of feeling sunken beneath it.

Since returning to Ireland earlier this year, Róisín has found her feet supporting her fellow folky peers and releasing singles ahead of her album launch. She has supported the likes of Barnburner, Elishka Lane, and Jamie D'Arcy in venues such as Little Whelan's, Anseo, and Bewleys.

Róisín's debut single, 'Gift of Presence' is out now, capturing the essence of the album's overarching theme. The song is an uplifting ballad and the triumphant feeling is emphasized by the defiant guitar that highlights the strength, and simple production that compliments the clarity of feeling present and peaceful after many years of feeling torn. Róisín's next single, 'Fighting Spirit' will be out on the 3rd of October, ahead of her debut headline and hometown show on the 9th of October at The Cobblestone Backroom.
