With grunge-fiend Seos Martin on vocals and guitar, metalhead James Dunn on Bass, and young punk Nathan Walker on drums, these three noisy introverts from Derry deliver grungy wretchings of audible angst with punchy beats, melodic bass, dynamic riffs, the odd anthemic chorus and a lyrical approach which digs deep with hidden meanings and blatant honesty. .
SHASMA released their latest single, 'Employee of the month' in October 2025, accompanied by the best music video they've ever made. They continue to promote the album whilst more recently testing new material live in preparation for producing their first studio release as a band.
Since forming in 2022 to perform Seos' recently recorded debut album (titled 'In consequence'), SHASMA have been growing their audience live and online with every live performance and release. Supported by BBC Radio Radio Ulster, KCLR 96FM, Hot Press, Derry News and Chordblossom during a riotous run of singles, SHASMA finally launched 'In consequence' in October 2024 landing Roddie Cleere's Irish Music Show's album of the week feature on KCLR 96FM.
The band have brought their strain of grungy alt-rock to growing live audiences in Derry, Buncrana, Belfast, Dublin, Omagh and Enniskillen thus far, with the rest of Ireland and further afield in their sights
You can find SHASMA's album, including singles ('Pushed', 'Alien / Familiar', 'Peacefully gracefully wild', and 'Employee of the month') and debut E.P ('Monkeygun') on Bandcamp and most major streaming platforms with music videos and more on YouTube.
Upcoming single, 'Thanks' will follow in May 2026.
