Season Of Spiders

Season Of Spiders is the long-running musical project of Irish Songwriter and Producer David Byrne - a sprawling, ever-evolving story told across albums, characters, and interconnected themes. Conceived as an 18-album narrative, each release acts like a season of a television series, following the life of fictional protagonist Jack Valentine as he navigates childhood, grief, love, mental health, imagination, the supernatural and death.

Blending alternative rock, folk, cosmic pop, country, electronica and classic songwriting traditions, Season Of Spiders balances dark subject matter with melody and warmth. Byrne writes, performs, records and produces everything himself from his home studio Audio Arcade in Co. Wexford, treating each album as both a personal document and a piece of a larger mythology.

Since 2020, Season Of Spiders has released a new album every year, gradually building a rich narrative universe of human emotion combining classic songwriting craft with a restless desire to experiment.
