Salamay

Salamay is a Nigerian born, Cork raised artist challenging the genre conventions of today with his unique brand of contemporary Hip Hop. His music is best described as a fusion of rhythm and poetry shaped by the sounds of Hip Hop, Soul, R&B, Afrobeat, and more.

Since his debut in 2021, Salamay has received critical acclaim earning a No. 2 position on District Magazine’s ‘Top Ten Tracks” for “Take it Easy”, while receiving placements on various playlists including Spotify’s immensely popular Fresh Finds Hip Hop. His innate ability to captivate and connect with audiences has also landed him on some of the world’s largest stages from Electric Picnic to Fête de la Musique, and most recently Other Voices Cardigan in Wales.

Set to release his next project in 2026, Salamay is intent on showcasing the rich and varied Hip-Hop talent Ireland has to offer with the world.
