Robert Gogan has been involved in the arts - theatre and music - for more years than he's care to remember. As an avid banjo player Robert has been performing in pubs, clubs and hotels for the past thirty years.
His preferred genre in folk & traditional music, but with a twist.
Robert likes to entertain his audience with stories and anecdotes about the songs, and introducing the backgrounds to the songs which he is performing, thereby enhancing the experience of the audience. "I'm not a singer and musician", he says, "I'm an entertainer and performer".
Robert's individual arrangements of well-known ballads and folk songs opens them up to new interpretations.
Robert also performs professionally in the one-man show which he has written on the subject of James Joyce's 'Ulysses', entitled 'Strolling Through Ulysses!'. He has appeared regularly in theatres performing the show.
