Rokaia

Rokaia Jedir is an experimental artist and researcher based in County Clare, Ireland. Her music combines experimental electronic production, field recordings, vocal manipulation and modular synthesis, creating atmospheric and textural soundscapes that move between ambient, electronic and experimental music. Her releases include See | Dwell (2017) and Still (2019).

Rokaia is currently developing new experimental compositions and soundscape work, drawing on field recordings and the sonic environments of County Clare alongside modular synthesis and processed vocals. Her current work develops a more exploratory approach to electronic composition and listening, informed by her ongoing research into psychoacoustics, auditory perception and working memory.
