When Róise began sharing intimate, reimagined versions of classic pop songs online, she didn’t expect them to garner millions of like and an audience captivated by her pure, expressive vocal tone. Róise brings that same raw intimacy to her debut EP “Television”, released on November 14th 2025. Contemplative and thoughtful, the EP is a collection of five tracks that gently explore heartbreak and love through a highly relatable lens, with emotional yet self-aware lyricism.
Influenced by the likes of Billie Marten, Joshua Burnside and Lizzy McAlpine, Róise is currently based between her hometown of Belfast and Manchester. Raised in a musical family, she played violin in orchestras and sang in choirs, before discovering a new direction in her early teens - sitting at the piano to sing pop songs From there she picked up ukulele and guitar and learnt to play her favourites by ear. Songwriting followed naturally, becoming a therapeutic outlet that offered comfort and clarity through the challenges of her teenage years. Róise has already caught the attention of local radio broadcasters including BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Introducing. One of her jazzy covers was even picked up by Greg James and given a feature on BBC Radio 1.
Róise followed her EP release with two headline shows in Servant Jazz Quarters in London and Ulster Sports Club in Belfast and an appearance at the iconic Other Voices festival in Dingle. Other recent live performances include supporting Emma Harner on her Europe tour in Glasgow and Berlin, her first performance at Other Voices festival in Dingle, and her first headline shows in Servant Jazz Quarters, London and Ulster Sports Club, Belfast. Previous performances include supporting Sam Amidon, Corto Alto and SÍOMHA on her Ireland tour.
