Riserfall, an Irish 3-piece band, are the perfect storm of the legacy left behind by the grunge experience and modern innovative rock and metal. With a plethora of diverse global influences that helped shape their sound (from the like of Tool, Pearl Jam, Karnivool, Nirvana, Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters, amongst many others) one can really hear that this band does not shy away from this melting pot of inspiration, and instead embraces it as the cornerstone of their mission. Not content with following trends Riserfall have set out crafting their own unique blend of rock and metal from atop the shoulders of these giants.
Daniel O’hEidhin fronts the group, bringing with him both performance and studio experience from previous projects, on top of years and years of obsessive playing and consistent compositional output that have conditioned the frontman to bring his unique vocal and instrumental talents to the Riserfall fold.
Neel Thakur is the bedrock and heartbeat of the band, on which all the intricate layers of composition comfortably rest. His trademark quirky drum grooves hold the entire fabric of the songs together, wrapping the melodies with an educated love for varying time signatures combined with a powerful tour-de-force smash-mouth delivery.
Ciaran O’Cathain is the link between the melody and the groove. Nestled between the percussion and the lead melodies, it’s here that he demonstrates his innate ability and talent for spontaneous outbreaks of musical ideas that enhance and extra colour to Riserfall’s canvas, completing the aural onslaught of the band.
They are currently gearing up for future releases and looking forward to the return to performing, planning shows in 2022.
