Poor Petal

Poor Petal is the solo project of Polish-born and Dublin-raised Mateusz Kosnik. Having moved to Ireland at age 8, he began to navigate the world of constant starting-overs through music, embracing limitations and change. Mateusz began to use his voice after his closest collaborator and singer of their duo project “Shaky Shack” moved abroad during the lockdown, and is still learning along the way.

Centred around total honesty, the project strives to capture the intense spark of a new idea, often preserving the first unpolished takes and building a song around them, resulting in a mix of lo-fi textures, driving beats and warm nostalgia-inducing melodies.
