Pippa Molony

Electronic // Dublin // She/Her

Pippa Molony is a musician who creates work in various genres, but it is mostly electronic/experimental in nature. Her work explores personal experience and themes of female identity, transgression, transformation, and growth.

Her debut EP, 'Hungry Ghost', was released in October 2024, which she created in collaboration with Irish producer Rory Sweeney. Pippa also forms one half of Barnburner, an alternative folk act, set to release their debut EP later this year.

Hungry Ghost, is an eight-track concept record that explores the theme of 'consumption,' with each track offering ethereal, experimental sounds inspired by Irish folklore, dreams and the idea of the ‘Hungry Ghost’ in Tibetan Buddhism. It’s about a longing for more, a feeling of being on the outside looking in, always reaching for connection and understanding, and encountering something otherworldly - always yearning, never fully satisfied.

Over the past year, Pippa has performed at Whelan’s ‘Ones To Watch’ (2025), Other Voices (2024), Dublin Fringe Festival x Dublin Modular’s ‘Saturation’ (2024), Phizzfest (2024), Electric Picnic (2024), and most recently at Croílar Festival in Athlone (April 2025). She is set to perform as part of the International Literature Festival Dublin this May, in a show curated by District Magazine ('Mother Tongue' ).
