In blending 90’s alt rock & Sardinian folk influences, Pier, born Pierfrancesco Dessí, provides a soundscape which is entirely his own. Guitars swell from ambient to aggressive while powerful vocals soar above.

After gigging extensively around Sardinia — and briefly moving to Finland to work in a steel factory, Dublin has been home and his base of operations for several years now.
Having played across the city in venues including Whelan’s, Bello Bar and Vicar Street, Pier is looking to take his music to national stage this year with gigs booked in all corners of the country. Pier will start this all off with his first UK gig of 2023 at Brighton’s The Great Escape festival in May.

His debut single “Hollow”, out on May 5th, was recorded by Ber Quinn (Lisa Hannigan / John Grant / James Vincent McMorrow / The Divine Comedy etc.) in Dublin’s Sonic Studio and mastered by Ruairi O’Flaherty of Nomograph Mastering ( Lana Del Rey / Rufus Wainwright / Soccer Mommy etc.) in LA.

Constantly experimenting with new collaborators & creative spaces, Pier is looking ahead to 2023 for everything it can offer.
