Paddy Madden is a Cork based singer songwriter and recording artist, who has released 2 solo albums to date: “Songs for the Time Being” volumes 1 and 2, comprising 33 of his own compositions, including 4 written with friend musician, Bill O’Brien. The melodic songwriting is enhanced with expressive instrumentation by 14 of the best Cork musicians in various combinations. The songs were arranged and performed in collaboration with David Murphy

Paddy has been described as “A veritable veteran with over 50 years playing Ireland’s genuine Southern Rock”(Irish Music Magazine). He has spent the past 10 years playing with the band Driftwood.
Paddy has now come off the road to concentrate on recording his own songs and looks forward to releasing an EP and 2 further albums this year. He has spent the past 2 years working on recording and producing a further 30 of his own compositions for release.
Recent singles released include “Lost in Love”, “See You on the Other Side” (a tribute song to the memory of the late Cork musician Tony Davis) from the forthcoming albums, and “Save Cork City from the forthcoming EP.
He has just released an EP called “Cork City Suite”, with 6 songs reflecting his social perspective on the aspects of the city that inspire him and observations on the state of the city. These are: “Save Cork City”, “Shandon Bells Blues”, “It’s Hard to be Part of the City”, “Down on the South Mall”, “On Patrick’s Bridge” and “Rebel City Bound”.
