Paddy Mulcahy (Limerick)

Paddy Mulcahy is a composer from Limerick City, best known for his integration of piano and synthesizers throughout his electronic compositions.

Mulcahy has been commercially releasing music in various formats and performing live for over 10 years; a decade which has seen him sell out concerts at home & abroad and produce music for international record labels (XXIM Records, Phases and 1631 Recordings).

Throughout the past decade, Mulcahy’s compositional techniques have matured having earned a BSc in Music Production. Appearances at various festivals (Electric Picnic, All Together Now and Body & Soul) have also proven that the 32 year old’s presence on stage isn’t easily forgotten.

Most recently, The Hard Core of Beauty EP takes its inspiration from his interest in the Brutalist style of architecture, encapsulating the minimal aspects of brutalism by presenting 4 new pieces of music that vary in style with the use of contrasting instruments.
