Orpy

ORPY is an electronic artist and producer from Dublin, Ireland. Having performed across a wide range of projects — from post-rock and ambient bands to acoustic singer-songwriter work — ORPY’s musical foundation is both expansive and deeply emotive.

His journey into electronic music began during the COVID lockdowns, born in the midst of a prolonged panic attack. Straddling the space between motivational trip-hop and atmospheric electronica.

His soon to be released debut album, "Ní bhíonn in aon rud ach seal" (“Everything is Temporary”), explores the inevitability of time’s passing while affirming the urgency to create art in a world often overshadowed by destruction. The project blends textured sampling, brooding atmospheres, and subtle danceability.

Drawing inspiration from the sample-heavy craftsmanship of DJ Shadow, the dark intensity of Massive Attack, and the rhythmic warmth of Bonobo, ORPY also carries echoes of his formative influences — Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and Moby.

To date, ORPY has released six tracks exploring these core themes — from the direct protest energy of “Tastes Like Fascism” to the sample-heavy “A Pagan Christmas,” which reexamines the deeper meaning of of Christmas through layered textures and atmosphere.
