Oran Byrne is a singer-songwriter based in Waterford, Ireland.
Byrne quickly gained attention in the Waterford music scene in 2021 after the release of his second single ‘Paranoia’ — a fan-favourite. He has released two albums to date — ‘Moving Forward’ in 2022 and ‘Blueprints’ in 2023.
Among Byrne’s biggest musical and lyrical influences, The Beatles and Arctic Monkeys earn the top spot, for they are regularly cited as being so by him. This is particularly evident in his songwriting, as he tends to embrace the rich harmonies that defined The Beatles in his own music, coupled with the clunky guitar riffs the Arctic Monkeys are known for, along with the softly-sung, poetic lyrics that John Lennon and Alex Turner are noted for.
Byrne’s music and interviews have since made their way through airwaves across both independent and mainstream Irish and UK radio stations, as well as being featured in local newspapers and Ireland’s own Hot Press magazine.
Byrne is set to release his third studio album, ‘I’ve Been Here Before’, on July 4th, 2025.

“It’s got Alex Turner and Paul McCartney's DNA everywhere, but he's making the sound his own.” ~ Hot Press Magazine
