OJO are an instrumental 4 piece band based in North Dublin, Ireland, playing boundary-pushing original music influenced by Irish trad as well as folk/world music, with a distinctive sound and vibe.
The founding members, Stephen and Jimbo, originally began as a two-piece act in 2017. They quickly lit up the Dublin music scene by appearing at local venues and thrilling audiences with their rythmical, high energy music, with the handpan creating an almost Caribbean-like vibe.
The line-up now also includes violin, tenor banjo and mandolin and the repertoire, while still featuring the handpan and the classic Ojo vibe, is now enriched by more melodic compositions and a wider palette of moods and influences.
Guitars, bouzouki - Jimbo Dowling
