Novatone are Mark McCorry and Ann Marie Walsh who are based in County Wexford and are originally from Kilkenny. Their debut single 'Spotlight' with a full band came out on 28th February 2025 and was praised by Sarah from Pillow Queens and covered by Hot Press, RTE Entertainment Online, Extra.ie, Pure M, Kilkenny People and played on RTE Radio 1, Galway Bay FM, KCLR FM, 8Radio, Folk Friday Radio (Ones to Watch), Hits Radio Ireland (Song of the Week) and selected as Track of the Week on Longwave Music Radio.

'Sunny Day' their 2nd single was released on 13th June 2025. It was playlisted on Spirit Radio and received airplay on 2XM, Shannonside Northern Sound, Ocean FM, KCLRFM and was featured in Hot Press, Wicklow People, Pure M, Bray People, TheBeat.ie, Kilkenny People, Wexford People. Hot Press reviewed the single "On ‘Sunny Day’, Novatone capture the daydream of escape with feel-good ease and folk-pop shimmer...with wistful harmonies, breezy guitars and a melody as warm as its title. Sunny Day’ marks another confident step from a band blending sincerity with polish and growing momentum"

Having written and performed as an acoustic duo for many years, Novatone played their first full electric band gig in November '24 to a full house in Little Whelans followed by a 5 piece band launch gig in Whelans Upstairs on 28 March. Then in April they shared the main stage in Whelan's - only their 3rd gig - with Sack, Brian Branigan from A Lazarus Soul, Mundy and more at the Stay Human Collective fundraiser. In the summer of 2025 they are playing with Tadhg Williams at gigs in Kilkenny, Limerick and Waterford and supporting Swords at Anseo Dublin. The single launch for Sunny Day is 26th July at The Star Bar Baggot Street.

Their debut EP will be out in the autumn of 2025 with an album planned for 2026.

Mark was a member of acclaimed Kilkenny band Kaydee who signed to EMI Records, released an album and toured in the UK and Ireland. Ann Marie is a radio presenter who works in audio creation and Arts PR but who began her career as a musician and music booker and event producer.  

Novatone curated a long running singer/songwriter event ‘Tuesday Night Music Club’ in Dublin featuring Declan O' Rourke, Mundy & Duke Special.
