Northern Ives

Northern Ives are a Dublin based rock/pop group.

Initially forming in the West of Ireland in 2018 when Ella Sweeney (vocals), brother Shane
Sweeney (guitar) and lifelong friend Tomás Forde (guitar/keys) came together to write and
record music as a means of passing time and paying homage to some of their shared
musical influences.

Later moving to Dublin to attend university, the trio continued honing their style, finding
inspiration in modern pop and rock influences such as The 1975, Wolf Alice and Interpol,
and synth heavy 80s legends such as New Order and Tears for Fears.
Whilst in university the group met their rhythm section sibling duo Daniel Fagan (bass) and
Conor Fagan (drums) and Northern Ives as we now know it came to be.

The group has spent countless hours writing, recording, and perfecting their craft, and now
with a few releases and smaller live shows under their belt they are ready to get their name
out there and show the world what they’re capable of.
