Muted Tweed

Muted Tweed is a Belfast-based three-piece instrumental outfit launched in 2025 creating expansive, genre-blurring soundscapes rooted in progressive and alternative rock. With Tony on guitar, Shane on bass, and Seán on drums, the trio weaves intricate, dynamic compositions that speak without words - where melody becomes narrative and rhythm becomes emotion.

Drawing inspiration from life’s complexities, the pull of the sea, and the vastness of the universe, Muted Tweed’s music blends precision with atmosphere. Their sound channels the cinematic sweep of post-rock, the technical finesse of prog, and the raw edge of alternative, culminating in a journey that’s equal parts cerebral and soulful.
